They include correspondence between the patriarchs and the bishops of Aleppo and Latakia, and between the congregation and clergy regarding inheritance, marriage, divorce, preaching, teaching, infringements, military service, debts, appointments, compensations, change of sect, the clergy, taxes, sectarian disputes, marital  and other problems, deaths, births, and awqaf.
Aleppo Bishopric:  866 documents
Lattakia Bishopric:  539 documents
cataloging was prepared by Dr. Joseph Zaytoun. It includes form and kind of paper, cover, size, calligraphy and kind of ink, and a summary of each document. There are indexes of resources, clerical writers, and subjects. The book also includes an article by Dr. Abdel Karim Rafeq entitled: ” the importance of the Aleppo and Latakia Archives in the archives of the Orthodox  Patriarchate in Damascus”.  Dr. Rafeq a professor of Modern and Contemporary History of the Arabs, and a former  head of the History Department at the University of Damascus.
