The archives of Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East Damascus, V. 2 was published by the Antiochian Center for Archiving and Documentation at the University of Balamand in 2002.
They include paper documents that constitute part of the history of Damascus and its residents. They consist of correspondence between the patriarchs, the congregation and the priests related to inheritance , marriage, divorce, missionary work, teaching, transgressions, military service, appointments , compensations, change of religion, priesthood, taxes, sectarian disturbances, marital and social problems, deaths, births, endowments….. They have all been cataloged to show shape and kind of paper, as well as the size and type of handwriting, and the ink used. An abstract of each paper is also provided. There are indexes showing sources, names of clerical writers and the subjects.
