Al Balamand Tarikh wa Turath (Balamand, History and Heritage) is a Joint  publication by Dar an Nahar and the University of Balamand in 1995 in French: Blamand Histoire et Patrimoine by Suad Slim. The Monastery was built by the Cistercian monks eight decades ago on a hill overlooking the see which they called Bellmont.

This book by Mikhai’l Burayk is one of the important sources for the history of the Antiochian church.  The author based his book on primary sources and eyewitnesses to give a clear picture of the history of the church, its patriarchs, secessions, and heresies from the times of the apostle Peter, to the end of the 18th century.

La Communaute Monastique de Deir el Harf, 1996 by Dr. Houda Kassatly. It is the second book to be published in this series by the Orthodox Documentation and Research Center. On the front cover is the mural of the Appearance to St. Thomas, and on the back cover a picture of Father Sofian Boghio restoring the icon of Christ in 1991.
