This book by Mikhai’l Burayk is one of the important sources for the history of the Antiochian church.  The author based his book on primary sources and eyewitnesses to give a clear picture of the history of the church, its patriarchs, secessions, and heresies from the times of the apostle Peter, to the end of the 18th century.

Al Makhtutat al Arabiyah fi  Abrashiyat Homs,  Hama, wa al lathiqiya lil Roum al Orthodox ( Arabic manuscripts in the Orthodox Archdiocese of Homs, Hama, and Latakia). Publisherd in 1994 by the Center of Antiochian Orthodox Studies.

Al Balamand Tarikh wa Turath (Balamand, History and Heritage) is a Joint  publication by Dar an Nahar and the University of Balamand in 1995 in French: Blamand Histoire et Patrimoine by Suad Slim. The Monastery was built by the Cistercian monks eight decades ago on a hill overlooking the see which they called Bellmont.

1860 Histoire et Memoires d’un Conflit. Published 2015. History and Memory of a Conflict is published by the University of Balamand , Saint Joseph University and IFPO and is the works of a conference of the same name held in Beirut 5-7 October 2011. The publication was sponsored by the French Ministry of Foreign affairs and the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, and the support of the Lebanese Renaissance Foundation
